Stories From The Field is a collection of short stories I’ve written about my experiences working for the United Nations. While based at the UN HQ in New York for 12 years and travelling to UN offices around the world, in the late seventies I served two years as a volunteer with the UN peacekeeping forces in the Middle East, at a time when Sri Lanka underwent dramatic change.
